?When I was a child, Sunday was a day of rest,? she says. Mornings and evenings were spent in church. After lunch, parents took a nap. That was when I painted.
?Lake city back then was a very small town, with only one dime store. No water-color paper, no canvas. The only paint was the small tray of paints that children take to school.
?And the grocery stores gave out paper bags ? they became my paper.
?In one mountain paintingthere was snow on top. I used white shoe past for the snow.
?Now I paint with acrylic on nice 16-by-20 inch or larger canvas.
?I donate paintings to the United Way and other charities.
?I took the S from my name and added it to my last name, SHALL added Have Art, and that is the name of my studio.?
